In 1998 Porsche made a courageous decision. The Stuttgart sports car manufacturer ventured into building an SUV. In 1999 Leipzig was determined as new production plant. This was another courageous step, as Leipzig was no vehicle construction region at that time.
Since the first factory collection in 2002, Porsche has manufactured over 1 million cars at its Leipzig site. The courage to follow new paths paid off for the sports car pioneer.
