In 1966, DATEV eG was founded as the cooperative of tax consulting professionals in Germany in order to simplify the accounting of its clients by means of IT technology. Today, DATEV eG is the third largest provider of business software in Germany and one of the largest European IT service providers. The company with headquarters in Nuremberg supports around 471,000 B2B customers in the digitalisation of commercial processes. Since 2018, the cooperative has strategically made certain services available to non-members as well.
WELL THOUGHT OUT CONTENT STRATEGY FOR INCREASED VISIBILITY
The digital service KLARTAX was created for private individuals so that they can simply prepare their tax returns themselves and send them to the tax office. Before the launch, DATEV approached dotSource with the request to develop a content strategy for KLARTAX and its SmartExperts portal and analyse the SEO visibility. This way, the cooperative ensured the successful launch of its new services.
IMPLEMENTATION OF A MODERN PAYMENT FEATURE
Since the commercial processes behind KLARTAX are handled by the e-commerce solution commercetools and dotSource is the world's first certified partner of the Munich-based software provider, DATEV commissioned the digital agency to implement the PAYONE payment interface as quickly as possible. Thanks to an agile project approach, the service was connected within the agreed time frame.
CLOUD MIGRATION FOR IMPROVED PERFORMANCE
Flexible, modular and modern online services require cloud hosting to achieve optimal performance. Even though the shop system had originally been hosted on Google Cloud, DATEV decided to migrate to Amazon Web Services (AWS) after consulting with commercetools and dotSource over the course of the collaboration. The main reason for this was the desire to further enhance KLARTAX's performance.
The collaboration with dotSource is characterised by comprehensive specialist knowledge and a high level of professionalism, but there is also plenty of fun to be had.
