As a co-founder of dotSource in 2006, Christian Otto Grötsch has turned his passion for e-commerce and digital business into his profession. On a daily basis, he supports his team as an initiator, co-creator and supervisor of large projects, unique events and (digital) customer relationships. Christian's heart also beats for marketing and trends. He helped set up the Handelskraft corporate blog, with a team of authors providing exciting articles and analyses on current topics and trends day after day since 2007. Furthermore, Christian is still involved in the annual Trend Book.
Christian's E-Commerce Career
- 1980 Born in Gera as the son of a family of craftsmen and entrepreneurs in the glazier's trade (based in Gera since around 1890)
- 1997 Award for the best computer game as part of the MEGWARE programming competition
- 1999-2001 Senior software developer at the online auction house auXion (operating in five countries)
- 2001-2004 Software developer and pre-sales consultant at Intershop
- 2004 Graduate of Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule (EAH) Jena (bachelor's degree in Internet Business Engineering)
- 2004 Management trainee programme at Deutsche Telekom
- 2005 Graduate of Steinbeis-Hochschule Berlin (master's degree in Business and Engineering)
- 2006 Founder and managing director of dotSource and Digital Business School
- Since 2007 Blogger at Handelskraft
- 2013 Co-initiator of the endowed professorship for the bachelor's degree programme in e-commerce at EAH Jena
