myAGRAR is an online shop for farmers and private customers interested in such a range of products. Since 2017, it has been operated by AgrarOnline GmbH, which has its headquarters in Ratzeburg, Schleswig-Holstein. AgrarOnline GmbH is part of the tradition-steeped ATR Landhandel group, which has shaped agricultural trade in Northern and Eastern Germany, but also in Denmark and Poland for around 100 years.
The modern shop offers a wide range of crop protection products, seeds, fertilisers, workwear and occupational safety equipment as well as agricultural technology. It is very user-friendly and quickly dispatches goods so that farmers can benefit from the same advantages in their everyday working lives that they have long been used to in their private lives.
myAGRAR is a successful online shop and is characterised by the innovative spirit of a start-up. The company does not postpone changes but implements them quickly. This is how myAGRAR recognised that the existing e-commerce system would soon reach its limits, initiating a migration project in response. The objective was to conduct a system selection process to find a suitable new system that would also fit in with the goals of the corporate network and to implement it as a multi-client platform.
Joint requirements elicitation workshops are important for selecting the right system. myAGRAR opted for Adobe. To be more precise: Adobe Commerce. After months of meticulously planning and scoping the project, developing a unique system architecture and keeping Microsoft Azure as the cloud service provider, the final migration sprint took place during the Christmas season and before the start of the season in February 2021.
