Multi-Faceted E-Commerce with Cloud Services

The system architecture in the cloud is geared towards the structures of BayWa AG's e-commerce platform. To ensure the best possible service and future viability, BayWa built individual e-commerce pillars for the various business units. On account of this intelligent system architecture, the Agriculture, Building Materials and Energy business units are technically independent of each other; however, they are still visually united.

Modular System Architecture

To take advantage of synergy effects, the hosting was initially designed for the Building Materials business unit, then for the Agriculture business unit. The following three main components ensure smooth operation: a fail-safe live system, an acceptance system and a developer system for feature development.
