Yink, a sprd.net AG brand (spreadshirt), is a provider of printed textiles and promotional items starting from 50 units. The enterprise supplies companies, private customers and any kind of team with personalised clothing and original merchandising ideas. The online shop yink.com aims to further address international private and business customers, as well as teams and clubs.
Project tasks, aims and implementation
Sprd.net AG commissioned dotSource GmbH with the implementation of B2B online shop yink.com. The service, which has existed since 2004 under the name “Spreadshirt Großbestellung,” remains a division of Spreadshirt, but now works as their own brand. The reason for this step is the large international market potential of this field of business. Sprd.net will continue to receive print requests and orders upwards of 50 units online, while gaining the possibility of a wider portfolio. This should strengthen the position of the e-commerce platform in the area of wholesale.
dotSource GmbH developed the information architecture of yink.com on the basis of e-commerce software Magento and realised the design, as well as its technical implementation. After dotSource created wireframes, screen designs were created and implemented after a usability test.
The shop was also optimised for tablet use.
A platform was created with the high performance Community Edition, which aligns perfectly with the needs of the B2B branch. dotSource configured the product details lists in such a way that they allow for simple and efficient ordering. Through a multi select function, customers are able to order different colours and sizes for a product in the desired number with one click. Furthermore, comments fields are ready for printing instructions, the desired delivery time and pricing. With their independent branding and B2B optimised shop solutions, yink.com can best maximise sprd.net’s international market potential.
