About MuleSoft
Founded as »MuleSource« in California in 2006, MuleSoft – as the company has been called since 2009 – has developed and continuously expanded Anypoint Platform, a groundbreaking integration solution. Anypoint Platform has established itself as a cloud solution that connects a wide range of systems and enables users to exchange data and build platforms.
Since May 2018, MuleSoft has been part of Salesforce. However, it by no means exclusively connects Salesforce products with other systems: it has remained independent and is also suitable for system landscapes without Salesforce components.
In autumn 2020, the US research firm Gartner named MuleSoft as a leading provider in both the Magic Quadrants for »Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service« (iPaaS) and »Full Lifecycle API Management«.
Features of the Integration Platform MuleSoft Anypoint
The basic paradigm of MuleSoft is to provide as much information as possible in APIs. Accordingly, various components are part of Anypoint Platform: Anypoint Design Center, for example, allows API developers to build interfaces and make them available. Anypoint Exchange, in turn, is a kind of library for those APIs that have been made available. Developers can use this library to search specifically for existing solutions. Anypoint Management Center is a web interface to analyse, manage and monitor interfaces.
