People always talk about digitisation, but what does it actually look like in practice? At regular intervals, we want to give motivated pupils exciting insights into digital transformation for one week! In a live video conference, we will guide you through the fields of development and design. The result of these online sessions will be a website, which you will create and design on your own.
dotSource is a fast-growing digital agency and we are always looking for motivated people. It is never too late to submit your application and you do not have to wait impatiently for the next month to start.
Briefly tell us in your cover letter who you actually are and what makes you special. Maybe it will help you to answer the following questions:
– What do you expect from the job?
– Why did you decide to apply for a job at dotSource?
– And why are we looking for you?
Make sure you stay true to yourself and do not come across as stilted.
You have gaps in your CV because you spent a few months after your graduation from secondary school just sipping margaritas on the beach? No need to panic! Just make sure that your CV is well structured. It is best to start with the latest step in your career and add tasks, projects and tools you worked with there.
You are active on Snapchat, TikTok and Instagram? Great! Companies are active on these platforms as well. Be brave and shoot an application video!
A skills profile gives us an insight into your abilities and skills. You can, for example, tell us about your knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes or various programming languages, but social media and language skills are also of interest to us. Just check which of your skills might be relevant for the job and rate them from 1 to 6 according to the German grading system.
No! Above all, an internship at dotSource means taking responsibility for your own projects. It is just as important to us as it is to you that you can try things out and acquire skills outside a school/university environment. We are always pleased to welcome new faces and a breath of fresh air to our teams – and to get the opportunity to learn something from you, too!
We usually offer pupil internships lasting for at least 2 weeks. It does not necessarily have to be an internship? You have nothing planned for the next holidays? We also regularly give pupils aged between 10 and 18 exciting insights into digital transformation. In daily online sessions, you will be guided through the fields of development and design. After one week, you will have your own website. We regularly offer these code camps during school holidays and are always delighted to welcome interested digital natives! Curious to find out more? We thought so! Just drop us an e-mail at codecamp(at)dotSource.de.
Of course, we have ideas about the minimum duration of student internships, but they are by no means set in stone. It does not hurt to ask! Ideally, an internship should last for at least 3 months. This way, we can ensure a successful onboarding process and you can get actively involved in our projects.
We are always happy to receive flawless applications. However, if one or two mistakes have crept in, this is of course no reason to reject your application.
You want to earn brownie points? Then you should come up with a few questions before your job interview. It is always important for us to know what you expect from the job. If we ask you about your weaknesses, it is best to answer honestly and truthfully! With the answer »I am too much of a perfectionist«, you will certainly not stand out from the rest.
