For the migration of its online portal www.veritas.at, the Austrian educational publishing house VERITAS, a subsidiary of Cornelsen Verlag GmbH, has once again brought the digital agency dotSource on board. dotSource has been cooperating closely with both VERITAS and Cornelsen for several years and has already implemented various digitisation projects for both publishing houses. The current VERITAS project includes the migration of the shop from Magento 1 to Magento 2 in Magento Commerce Cloud.
In 2012, dotSource already had the pleasure of supporting VERITAS in relaunching its website with an integrated online shop at www.veritas.at. The result was a customer-friendly publishing house website with a new corporate design as well as product and service presentation tailored to the relevant target groups. The flexible online shop software Magento Enterprise provided the technological basis.
By migrating to an up-to-date Magento Commerce version, VERITAS continues to use the same e-commerce software, whose features are perfectly suited to its requirements and wishes without the need for complex customisation processes. The e-commerce software combines content and commerce to create a consistent brand experience and ensure a seamless customer journey. After all, customers also want to feel well advised and in good hands throughout the entire shopping process when it comes to the topic of »school and further education«.
Besides the improved shopping experience, VERITAS can now use its new Magento Commerce Cloud to create personalised content, segment customers and carry out targeted, personalised sales and marketing activities based on this. Moreover, a new UX design is to ensure a modern appearance of the online shop. To achieve this, the dotSource designers not only work on refreshing graphical elements, but also on adapting the menu structure for intuitive user guidance and on a clear screen design for improved usability of the portal. Furthermore, the migration project is to be used to streamline and optimise established technical interfaces as well as data flows and, in particular, to promote mobile optimisation.
