How a Fresh Design Excites Customers

The online presence of MDR-Werbung GmbH was redesigned from scratch. The relaunch makes it not just a pleasure to buy advert space for Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR), but users also find relevant information, such as the right contact persons, at a glance. The redesigned online presence of MDRW therefore doesn't just meet current design and usability trends, but above all be user-friendly. In addition to the user experience, it was important to improve performance and to develop and integrate a small online shop.

About MDR-Werbung

MDR-Werbung GmbH (MDRW) is a subsidiary of MDR. It markets advertising times and sponsorships in Central Germany and is responsible for broadcast advertising throughout the MDR Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia broadcasting area. It reaches three million people a day.

 

On its website www.mdr-werbung.de, MDR-W provides info about its range of advertising space and sponsorship opportunities, current events, and publications. For example, you can find in-house research like the annual Central German Brand Study results for sale.

Initial Situation

MDRW commissioned dotSource for a complete relaunch of its online presence. The task was to create a completely new design concept in order to optimise the media company's website for all end devices. In addition, a small online shop for in-house publications would be integrated into the modernised website.

The redesign shouldn't just reflect the latest design trends, but also the different expectations of potential advertisers. In addition, mobile optimisation and how presenting relevant contact persons and their accessibility visibly without many clicks were particularly important.

The timeless and modern design reflects a certain closeness to the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) website. At the same time, MDR-W sets its own course. Thanks to the integrated web shop, interested parties can obtain marketing studies in a much less complicated way than before.
