VERITAS Verlags- und Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H. & Co. OG has its headquarters in Linz and is the leading publisher of school textbooks in Austria. It was founded in 1945 and launched its school textbook programme in 1973.
The publisher's portfolio includes school textbooks, learning aids, educational software and subject-specific books. The publisher's modern website – www.veritas.at – combines a wide array of online materials, information on school textbooks and an online shop. Since 2018, almost the entire range of school textbooks has also been available digitally as e-books.

Fit for the Future Thanks to Online Shop Migration
Several years ago, the publisher had implemented an online shop based on the e-commerce software solution Magento 1 in collaboration with dotSource. However, since digital transformation never stands still, it was time to relaunch the VERITAS online platform together. With the migration to Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce, VERITAS is well positioned for the future and benefits from a modern cloud set-up.
Online Shop Redesign – Optimised for Mobile Devices
Today's users expect online platforms to be easy to use – even via smartphones or tablets. A responsive design optimised for mobile devices was therefore of particular importance to VERITAS. For enhanced usability, the dotSource digital experts developed a revised menu navigation and a modern screen design, which was further refined in consultation with VERITAS and tested by real users.
Cloud Set-up for Secure IT Infrastructure
By hosting the new online shop in Adobe Commerce Cloud, VERITAS not only minimises the risk of data loss, but also opens up the opportunity to benefit from the scaling options offered by the Adobe cloud environment in the long term. This growth-oriented setting is also capable of handling spikes in traffic over the course of the school year.
