About Cornelsen
Cornelsen stands for high-quality teaching and learning materials. The publishing house is determined to continue to live up to this perception.
In this context, the company is willing to invest in the modernisation of its technical infrastructure and to break new ground.
Cornelsen has relied on dotSource’s expertise since 2011. Together we have already been able to implement comprehensive projects, including
- the implementation of a new e-commerce platform based on Magento Enterprise
- the integration of Duden Schulbuchverlag into Cornelsen's e-commerce platform
- the tailored distribution of products via the Contentserv PIM system
dotSource and Cornelsen - Close Cooperation for Almost a Decade
dotSource and Cornelsen have been cooperating closely for almost a decade. In 2011, dotSource implemented a modular and expandable e-commerce platform based on Magento Enterprise for the school book publishing house. This way, outdated technologies were replaced and a modern, user-friendly platform was created, which is tailored to meeting the needs of Cornelsen’s customer groups.
In the course of this, the technical prerequisites were created for connecting further online shops of other Cornelsen Group publishing houses at a later date. Consequently, dotSource integrated Duden Schulbuchverlag into Cornelsen’s e-commerce platform in 2014. On the one hand, this ensured that the education group’s system landscape was significantly streamlined. On the other hand, the operational and maintenance effort was also reduced considerably.
In 2019, dotSource then supported the publishing house in the implementation of Contentserv's PIM system as a central source of product information. In doing so, the digital agency created the organisational and technical prerequisites for high-quality product information that meets the defined quality standards.
